Small inn within 5 minute walking distance from Flam railway station. Room very basic but clean. Superb view on the fjord. Excellent dinner and adequate breakfast buffet. Would go back.

I booked the hotel because it was the least expensive option. The only other choice was $1000 a night. This hotel was $600 a night. Yes, breakfast and dinner are included, but dinner is a set menu so if you don’t like what they’re serving, you were kind of out of luck. It was fine, but nothing great. The room itself was one of the worst I’ve ever stayed in, ever. It was tiny, even by European standards, with hardly any space to put luggage or unpack. The bathroom was the size of a half bath with a sink and a toilet in their normal spots and the shower right between them. When you took a shower, it flooded the entire bathroom, even though there is a weird plastic protector, it does nothing to stop the water from shooting out all over the place. The positive reviews seem to be about the view , and yes it is lovely from out on the front patio. But the view is pretty lovely from anywhere in Flom, as long as there isn’t a big cruise ship docked! The only reason I gave this hotel two stars is because they were nice enough to let me have breakfast at their sister property because I had an early train out and I was gonna miss the buffet at the hotel. Otherwise it would have been one star

This is a bed and breakfast style accommodation, not a 4-5star hotel.
The rooms are compact yet comfortable and the staff very attentive.
The half board option is excellent, and location just perfect.

Maintenance required for front steps. Broken and chipped slate tiles. Dangerous for travellers carrying suitcases.
Room good size for solo traveller,
Single bed very small, children's size. Poor and inadequate furnishings. Small and minimum.
Communication could be better, as never advised that alcohol with supplied dinner was charged for.
Very expensive, and poor value for mkney

A delightful stay. The staff were kind and helpful. Dinner was included, which was a nice bonus after a day exploring the fjords. Would be challenging for folks with mobility issues--no elevator, and stairs to enter the building and to reach the second floor. Be sure to ask for a hair drier the night before if you are up before the desk opens at 7:30 pm. A lovely place experience in a breathtaking location 10 minutes from the Flam ferries and railroad.
