Good hotel, would use again.

Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff, free parking. Downside bed too soft and lumpy so didn't sleep well, think bed needs changing. Suggestions to management - window lock broken but window closed ok. Put nets or blind on window so can open curtains on ground floor. Suggestion to future guests, no need to buy their breakfast offer in advance as Greggs and Subway next to hotel.

Data Pirates

Tired property with several negatives. Poor bathroom maintenance as can be seen in photos. No aircon. Only cooling option to use the window out to the car park or main road with its associated noises. Main issue with stay is with what appears data blocking to force use of paid for wifi. Data signal is shown on devices, enough to register service but not actually use your own data/plan. As soon as you exit the building, normal service resumes (tested on different sides of building). This feels like active service degradation and I’m looking to open a case with OffCom. I’ve seen similar reports/reviews which concur with these thoughts. Buildings with faraday cages incorporated into them, usually have something to hide/protect. In this case, it’s their revenues. I don’t think we will ever use Travelodge again.

ust outside town centre. Beware of the ants.

Situated just out of town. Adequate parking available. There must have been something taking place nearby as prices were high for these 2 days that we were there. Room 009 was on the ground floor, which was helpful because of limited mobility, but it did mean that we were invaded by ants near the tea/coffee making facility in the room. Couldn't have heavy curtains open during day/evening as there were no net curtains and window opened onto the car park with guests walking by the window. No restaurant, only a Subway next door, and have experienced the "breakfast" box elsewhere & wouldn't want it again. Morrisons supermarket if half a mile away who do a reasonable hot breakfast.

Great thank you.

Easy to find. Good carpark. Great welcome. Lift, which we hadn't seen in travelodge before. It has 2 floors, which was new for us too. Nice room, carpets looked new, clean. Good beds, very high. Comfortable cotton bedding. Good lighting, making possible to read in the night, not disturbing much the other persons. Some effort for sorting out recycling waste. Next to the Travelodge, simple eating: subway, greggs, a kebab...
On the minus side: poor phone/data signal. Which made contacting the reception by phone at arrival impossible. Fortunately, other guests arrived just after us and had a better connection from outside the building so the desk was attended very quickly. Wi-Fi free 30 minutes only in travelodge. Pillows a bit thick, no choice for a thinner one. Window only open a tiny bit, for security. The main annoyance was the closeness of the main road, busy on a Sunday evening, in the night around 4am, and the morning. If you are not one to take your earingaid off during the night, use something to block the sounds. Or, pay for choosing a room at the back, and avoid the south side when very hot. It was OK for us, the heatwave was over. Thanks for a lovely night on our way.

Clean room, comfortable bed, room too hot to Sleep in. We left at 0230am. Shout out to Aidan on the front desk x

On arrival we were greeted by Aidan who was really kind, helpful and professional.
Our room was clean but incredibly hot and uncomfortable, there was a wall heater that said it could be used as a fan but neither of us could get it to work and a desk fan.
I did complain to a lady on reception but she didn’t seem interested. Hence the 3 for the review.
