Lovely hotel in excellent setting overlooking.
The hotel is large and sprawling but each landing has its own breakout area where people were sitting reading or playing cards and the general atmosphere was extremely chilled and relaxed. In the evening we were able to see a spectacular sunset over the fjord from our corridor. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the hotel and room were spotlessly clean. I have knocked off a star for the limited menu in the restaurant with only one starter main and dessert but thankfully we liked everything so we were ok. There is also food available in the bar. We only had one pillow but you can request further ones either soft medium or firm .
The hotel is out of the centre of Roskilde but this is good as it is quiet and there is no road noise which can disturb sleep. We will definitely return.

Only recommended in the context of a conference.
Moreover, visiting another restaurant is only possible by taxi due to the location.
A well-run establishment should also be able to serve its guests outside of a convention.

We are pleased to hear that you find the hotel spacious and well designed, and we truly appreciate you acknowledging the overall setting of the house.
At the same time, we are very sorry to read that your experience as an individual guest did not meet your expectations. During periods with large conferences and events, parts of our restaurant may occasionally be reserved for group dining. In these situations, we aim to ensure that all guests still have access to dining options within the hotel, which is why we offer service in our bar area. We are very sorry to hear that this felt overcrowded during your stay and that the selection did not meet your expectations. We understand how important a calm and comfortable dining experience is, and we regret that we did not provide this for you.
We also take note of your comments regarding the food and beverage offering in the bar. Feedback like yours is important to us and will be shared with our team as part of our ongoing efforts to improve both quality and guest flow during busy periods.
Regarding the location, we understand that access to alternative restaurants can be less convenient without transportation, and we are sorry if this affected your overall experience.

Dont go here
I asked the reception when the party was stopping and with a could Care but I don’t attitude, the receptionist asked me to try and go to sleep. Good luck sleeping with a ghettoblaster in your face, cause thats the Way it feels.
And we didnt book the cheap rooms.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, although we are truly very sorry to read about your experience with us. We completely understand how disappointing it must have been not being able to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep, especially when staying at a hotel for comfort and rest.
Unfortunately, we have not been able to locate a reservation under this name, and therefore we are unable to see when or where you stayed with us. However, we would very much like to learn more about your experience and hear from you directly, especially regarding both the noise disturbance and the interaction you describe with our reception team, as this is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide.
When we have events or parties in the hotel, we always do our very best to allocate rooms furthest away from the event areas to guests who are not part of the arrangement, in order to create the most comfortable stay possible for everyone. Therefore, we are especially sorry to read that this was not your experience during your stay.
