A short stay, but more than amazig !

Disapointing

I wouldn't recommend, whilst the hotel itself was comfortable enough, the service, food, and bar, were all pretty poor. drinks in the bar are sparce and over priced, the food is mediocre at best and overpriced, had to wait long periods of time in the restaurant buffet to get food as there wasn't much out, then they would bring out a small plate so when you got to it, it was all gone. staff weren't very friendly either.

Enjoyable stay

Spent a lovely 3 night stay close to Zoo.
Lovely gardens, friendly staff, good food & even went gorgeous a swim

Very good

Been to this zoo before and stayed in the Bali themed hotel, this was our first time in the Chinese theme hotel. It was really good, very comfortable, clean, friendly staff, nice sized rooms, really nice pool area. We had paid for breakfast and dinner and stayed for 3 nights. Despite being the middle of the summer season and the hotel being full, the service was really good in the restaurants. My only real criticism is that the dinner buffet doesn't change, I assume most people are there for 1 or 2 nights, but it suited our trip to stay for 3 and the dinner buffet was the same each night with no variation at all. Also the pool area is really busy in the late afternoon, but we were there in the middle of August.

Overall look of the hotel is ok but food is absolutely terrible for the money spent...

... and I couldn't cancel the 2nd dinner once I had experienced the first. Better to grab a piece of bread at a nearby grocery store and prepare yourself a sandwich...
