Muy lindo hostel
Pase una estadia de fin de semana de carnaval. El hostel es muy grande y bien distribuido. Tiene una cocina equipada y sala de estar comodos. La habitacion que comparti, aunque mixta eramos todas mujeres. El unico inconveniente es que no habia la cantidad de enchufes necesarias para la cantidad de personas en la habitacion.

Wildly expensive for what it is
So this place for New Years was probably 10-20X what it would be normally, price wise. There is a ten minute limit in the showers and the rooms are small. Its a standard hostel. Would recommend you get a car or bike as its about 20-30min of walking from the center of town.

A mixed experience
This is a tricky review as this place had some really good string points but then some real let downs. We deliberately went to Punta after party season had finished as we just wanted a quiet couple of days mid week. Good timing and the hostel seemed to be winding down.. the bar wasn't open which I assume it is during the season. Good for us as the double room was facing directly into the bar area. Lovely when it's quiet but not so sure on weekends?
Double room was good. Bed comfortable. Had to make the bed up ourselves which was fine. There was even a little lamp which would work if you wriggled the cable just right. The shared bathroom was ok and the shower was good. When we checked in the staff told us that if there is no hot water tto check with them that the boiler is on... this is also fine except that there wasn't even any water both mornings, let alone hot water. We had to wake up one of the sleeping bodies on the sofa that we hoped were staff to fix it. They fixed it but it was already after 8am when we woke them with plenty of people having used the toilet in the night without being able to flush it. I don't know if something was broken or if they have to put the water on every day but not being able to flush the toilet in the night is pretty gross.
The staff were helpful enough if you asked a direct question but otherwise seemed be sleeping or showering or eating... not much servicing of customers. Maybe they are all volunteers that are staying there? The kitchen was the other let down... big kitchen and very well equipped but absolutely filthy. Guests didn't appear to clean up after themselves and staff didn't seem to be cleaning up or encouraging guests to. Maybe we just we're unlucky with some disgusting guests but plenty of the dirt looked older than an day or two.
So, overall, I think this place has brilliant potential but it appeared to be let down by poor managing.

Lindo, limpio y buena ubicación
El hostel es muy lindo y super limpio. El personal siempre fue super amable! Tiene pileta climatizada, que es ideal para el clima de punta del este. La ubicación es muy buena ya que estas a una cuadra de la playa y cerca de la avenida principal comercial. Un lugar para recomendar!

PÉSSIMO NEGÓCIO
A estrutura é horrível, o Hostel é muito velho, tive que chamar o atendente pra arrumar o chuveiro porque não saia água quente. Além disso, a recepção não tem controle dos hóspedes e o resulto foi um quarto de 6 pessoas, mas com 20 cabeças entrando lá (grupinho de meninos revezando as camas), com 500 malas num quarto pequeno. Mal dava pra andar no quarto.
Não possui armário pra guardar as malas e fica longe dos melhores bares noturnos (caso queira ficar a pé).
Foi o pior Hostel que já fiquei na vida.
